                          Description

                          This Nationally Recognised High-Risk Work TLILIC0005 Licence to Operate a Boom-Type Elevating Work Platform Boom Length 11 meters or more course, provides the skills and knowledge to safely operate an EWP, if you require competencies to operate both, a scissor lift & EWP over 11 meters, we recommend registering for our combined over & under 11 meters EWP course that we have available at IWP.

                          An elevating platform (EWP) is either a telescoping device, articulated device, or a combination of these used to support a platform from which personnel, equipment, or materials can be elevated to perform work.

                           

                          COURSE TOPICS 

                          • Requirements for HRW licence
                          • WHS legislation (acts, regulations & duty of care)
                          • Assessing hazards & planning the work
                          • Conduct routine checks of equipment
                          • Set up elevating work platform
                          • Operate elevating work platform
                          • Shut down and secure elevating work platform

                           

                          PREREQUISITES & HRW LICENCE ASSESSMENT REQUIREMENTS 

                          To enrol in this course participants must:

                          • Be a minimum of 18 years of age
                          • Candidates are required to have a Service NSW account (You will be required to verify your ID and enrol for your HRWL Assessment with this account

                          • Candidates will be required to bring one approved photo ID along to their assessment to have their identity verified by the Assessor

                          • Demonstrate the ability to speak and write English to a basic level & have basic numeracy skills

                          • Be able to speak English well enough to carry out high-risk work safely with other people

                           

                          LLND

                          • When enrolling into this course you will be required to complete a pre-enrolment LLND quiz which takes around 10 mins to complete. You will be issued the link to complete this quiz when applying to enrol for this course.
                          • Please inform us when enrolling if you feel you have any literacy or numeracy difficulties and we can arrange for suitable training and assessment support.
                          • We can provide one on one training and assessment for approved students, please enquire about this option with our admin team before enrolling into this course. 

                           

                          COURSE DURATION

                          • 2 Days
                            • 10 hours face to face training, 90 minutes Knowledge Assessment and 30 minutes per candidate performance Assessment
                            • 1 day SafeWork HRW Licence Assessment (Day 2)

                           

                          PARTICIPANTS WILL NEED TO BRING

                          • Candidates will be required to bring one approved photo ID along to their assessment to have their identity verified by the Assessor

                          • Bring your own food, free water, tea, coffee & biscuits are provided, you will be able to leave the facility during your lunch break if you wish
                          • PPE including protective footwear will be required to be worn for the practical training sessions and the SafeWork NSW assessment, we have hard hats, high visibility vests, gloves & whistles available for use if required.

                           

                          IMPORTANT: 

                          There have been some important changes to how you will need to prepare for and obtain your SafeWork HRW Licence.

                          Please ensure candidates read through the course instructions carefully, these are sent via email once your registration is approved.

                           

                          ASSESSMENT PROCESS

                          • The course is based on the requirements of the national standards for licencing persons performing high-risk work, the training will be a combination of knowledge, calculations & practical training where participants will be required to demonstrate industry skills & knowledge described in the units of competency included in this course.
                          • On completion of the training, an RTO assessment will be conducted, this assessment will identify if the participant is ready to undergo the SafeWork NSW assessment, or if further training is required.
                          • To pass the SafeWork NSW assessment, all critical components must be demonstrated and answered correctly

                           

                          COURSE OUTCOME

                          On successful completion of the SafeWork NSW assessment, participants will be given a:

                          • Nationally recognised statement of attainment HRW WP - Licence to Operate a Boom-Type EWP Boom Length 11m or more - TLILIC0005, recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework and issued under the authority of the National Vocational Education and Regulator Act 2011
                          • A SafeWork NSW licence to perform high-risk work application form is to be lodged at Service NSW within 60 days of the completion of the assessment.
